Office Necessities becomes Office Peeps, Inc.
Huron… Effective December 1, Office Necessities of Huron will become part of Office Peeps, Inc., an independent office products company in Watertown.
Deb Ahrens, who founded Office Necessities, will serve as Manager of the Huron market.
“These two companies share a similar attitude about our customers being our friends, and I am excited about what our capabilities will be as we make this change,” Ahrens said.
Office Necessities currently provides office and janitorial supplies and copiers, computers and other equipment as well as service and repair.
“Office Peeps will bring a new level of buying power to what we currently offer, and we will now be able to provide an unmatched selection of office, school, and healthcare furniture and interior design services.”
Some changes are already underway.
“We are excited to share that the retail space in our location is currently being expanded in order to display furniture, increase our supplies selection, and add a scrapbooking section,” said Ahrens.
The current JCPenney Catalog Merchant store will continue to operate out of the Office Peeps location.
Office Peeps President Joel Vockrodt has enjoyed working with Ahrens and her staff, along with everyone else who has contributed to this endeavor.

Vockrodt is the Immediate Past Board Chairman of the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Business Industry School Coalition Board, is a Cub Scout leader and member of the Watertown Kiwanis Club.
Ahrens is Chairperson of Huron’s Downtown Promotion Team, serves on the Huron Wellness Team and is on the Steering Committee for the Main Street Program.
Office Peeps started as Cook’s Office Machines in 1959, selling and servicing calculators and typewriters.
Office Necessities started in 2001 selling office supplies and servicing copiers.
