Our History
Office Peeps is our new name. But we’ve been around for years.
In 1959, Cook’s Office Machines opened in Watertown, SD, selling and servicing Olivetti calculators. Remember those? Probably not.
In the early 60s, Cook’s was the top Oliv
etti calculator retailer in the U.S. By 1970 Cook’s employed 15 people and became Cook’s Office Products, Inc.
In 1981, a group of salespeople left Cook’s to form Office Systems, Inc (OSI). The company grew quickly, becoming a complete office solutions provider.
In 2004, the owners of OSI
purchased Cook’s, bringing the companies back together and creating a reserve of knowledge, expertise and purchasing power.
In 2009, OSI changed its name to Office Peeps. The name highlights what’s unique and special about the company – its people.
In 2010, Office Peeps purchased Office Necessities with its location in Huron - an exciting opportunity to add great people to the organization and grow in a nice community.
